What does Camphor provide with crime data?
Camphor provides the following statistics from the FBI Crime Data as number of crimes committed per 1000 people in a county:
- burglary (home robbery)
- theft (street theft)
- assault
- robbery (commercial robbery)
- rape
- murder
- animal cruelty
- vehicle theft
- arson
- kidnapping
- drug crimes
- vandalism
- identity theft
While all these statistics are useful for understanding the neighborhood a property is located in, the three most important values to the safety of a property would be evaluating burglaries, vehicle theft, and general street theft.
As you can see in the above demo, Camphor strictly speaking provides the raw statistics in our report since we do not wish to directly bias any prospective homebuyer for or against a property. However, if you query for more information about crime in a neighborhood through the Camphor AI Assistant, you can figure out if the crime stats are relatively high compared to the national and state averages.
